This psychedelic cactus is known for containing mescaline and other alkaloids (not alkanoids):

Usage:
The San Pedro Cactus can be eaten both fresh and dried and you can make tea of it. Remove the thorns and cut them in little pieces. Boil them for 2-3 hours in a closed pan with low heat. After you let it cool, add fruit juice or honey to make it more enjoyable
