The Kuripe applicator plays a crucial role in this ritual, ensuring that the rapé is properly inserted into the nostrils.

Kuripe applicators are usually handmade from bamboo, although other natural materials such as wood or bone can also be used. The design of a Kuripe is simple but effective. It consists of two tubes connected at an angle to form a V-shape. One end of the V is inserted into the user's mouth, while the other end is inserted into the nostril. This design allows the user to blow the rapé powder into their own nose, ensuring controlled and precise application.

Use: To use a Kuripe bamboo applicator, the user places a small amount of rapé powder into the end that goes into the nostril. They then place the other end in their mouth and blow vigorously, allowing the rapé to enter the nasal cavity. This process can be repeated for both nostrils.
